I may have made a serious error.
I loaded all of my knitting patterns and stashed yarn into my Ravelry Notebook.
The statistics are frightening.
Right now, I have 4,893 patterns in my library. Given that many of the UK magazines don't have every pattern listed on Ravelry, that figure is most likely over 5,000.
Worse... I have 38,638m of yarn in my stash. That's 24 miles. Or from my house to Ilchester.
And I've now matched up patterns in my queue and yarn in my stash. And I have 30 projects that I could cast on right now.
That's more than the number of projects that I have knitted this year.
Maybe I shouldn't buy any new yarn for a while... I wonder how long I could keep to a stash diet?

Just tried that stash Excel exporter for the first time⦠I have about 24km of yarn in mine!

I know the feeling, my "stash meterage" is in the same ballpark, it comes up at just under 35,000m but I know that there's a lot of yarn not on that list, so I'm right there with you. Maybe I should really start thinking about a stash diet... oh boy.

Argh, I 'only' have 1,125 patterns but apparently I have 90 miles of stash...

I've got 5,386 patterns. And 186,891m of yarn. Which is 116 miles. Gulp indeed.

Well... at least it won't matter if you get snowed in this winter! :D

Ravelry does not seem to work since yesterday. Reading your post it seems to be good news: it will stop me from trying this very dangerous function!
