This is a pile of three quilts. They are all complete apart from the hand slip-stitching of the binding.
I had a weekend frenzy of quilting and managed to transform three quilt tops into quilted sandwiches. Now all that remains to be done is the hand sewing. This has actually come at a good time as I still have some numbness in the tip of my right index finger, so I'm trying not to knit too much (it's SO hard not to when knitting is such a reflex for me!).
It was also a weekend of singing, with a rehearsal and performance of Handel's Messiah on Saturday followed by normal church and a guest appearance as the only soprano at another local church for evensong. I haven't sung so much in one weekend for many, many years. If you're interested, here is a You Tube link to the Gibbons anthem (Almighty and Everlasting God) we sang on Sunday evening. It was really beautiful.
I'm delighted to be the first host on Jean Moss's World Blog Tour for her new book, Sweet Shawlettes, so do be sure to pop back on Wednesday for that post (and giveaway). You should see the blog lineup - I feel very chuffed to be on the list.
