I have no idea where this year is going? Time seems to be flashing past my eyes at a furious pace, which is wonderful. It means that I'm busy with all sorts of exciting projects. Today I wanted to give you a little tiny sneak peek at one of them...
I've been editing Kyoko Nakayoshi's patterns since she had her first design in The Knitter, and since then she's become a great friend. If you're not familiar with Kyoko's work, then PLEASE head over to her website or her designer page on Ravelry and see what you've been missing. She has a great eye for garment construction combined with wearability. She's definitely one to watch!
So given my fan-girl status, I was blown away that she approached me to work with her on a design collaboration together. That was back at the end of October last year, and since then we've been beetling away in between all the other deadlines. Now that it's nearly July we are almost ready for our photoshoot! It will still be a while before I can share the details with you - we plan to publish in September. It will be here before I know it, given the pace of the year so far! The picture above is just a tiny taster. Since that pic I've ripped the knitting out twice more, but I'm so pleased I did. It will be well worth it!
Oh, and look out for cats... Kyoko and I are both slaves to our feline friends. Happy Friday!
P.S. I've updated my blog links on the right, so do check out any that you haven't visited before!
