Well, I'm getting there. Slowly. But nonetheless progress is being made.
I've made a couple of tiny mods to the pattern (Cable and Rib Sweater with Hood by Debbie Bliss). I picked up the sts for the back of the hood from the back neck cast off edge. I have no idea why it's been written to cast them on and sew down later - it seemed so much easier to just pick them up. Then having started to do my own thing, I have rather continued. I used a 3-needle cast-off on the top of the hood; working both sides at once. And I'm now working on the front edge of the hood, and I've picked up sts right the way around both sides rather than doing it in two halves and then seaming them together.
This 9cm of ribbing is taking an AGE though. It feels like it will never be done.
I've also completed the first sleeve, so all that remains is the end of the front hood and a second sleeve. Oh, and all the sewing up, which always takes much longer than anticipated! Still, even with all that list, I should still get this finished fairly shortly. I hope!
