I am so excited to finally be able to share some details about the project I've been working on with Kyoko Nakayoshi. This collaboration has been in the pipeline since October last year, so I've had to be very patient!
At the end of next week we will start releasing the patterns that make up our eBook - Cloudy Apples. It's a collection of 9 accessory designs and has been a joy to work on from start to finish. We hope that you will enjoy knitting them as much as we have enjoyed creating them.
Our aim from the first conversation has been to create something fun, as a celebration of the things that we love, but to do it to the very best of our abilities. We have been lucky enough to work with some hugely talented colleagues, and together we've made something we are both really proud of. A big shout out to Nic, our fabulous Art and Production Editor - she's created a layout and feel (as well as the name for the collection) that encapsulates our ideas. I don't want to contemplate the project without her! Our photographer, Jesse Wild, did the impossible, and made Kyoko and I feel like supermodels all day long. He has not only taken some amazing photos, but was a joy to work with. Thank you!
As a little sneak peek - here is a video of me and Kyoko chatting about the inspiration behind the project. We're both wearing one of my designs - the pattern will be available at the end of next week!
Pop over to Kyoko's blog later today to see more from behind the scenes on our shoot.
