It's time to come clean.
Je suis Le Veuf du Tricot.
This is why.
Following her appointment as Technical Editor on The Knitter, Jen's knitting reached fever pitch in terms of the sheer number of projects in the needles. Furthermore, her total immersion in the world of knitting and knitters severely limited our topics of conversation. It hasn't subsided since her move to freelancing.
In desperation, I had to find something to counter the constant flow of news on needles, yarns, patterns, designers, spats on Ravelry. So I set up a pseudonymous email account, a play on words that came out of a conversation with friends in Marseille, and sent a short letter to Juliet Bernard, the then editor of The Knitter. It wasn't terribly long, but caused sufficient amusement that I was poached by Simply Knitting to write an occasional column.
Each article is based on my experiences blundering through the bewildering world of knitting and some of the content is even true.
